Inspired by the Old Masters her work is an investigation on the power of the chiaroscuro technique. Primarily a still life painter she depicts standard vanitas objects yet rejecting symbolism and allegory – the moralistic and devotional aspects. She plays with the common perception and visual conventions. Her focus has always been emotional content and atmosphere rather than narratives.
